Free games, no ads

Games is a small New Zealand site for puzzles you can finish in a coffee break. Sudoku and Mahjong solitaire are up first. There is no charge, no account, and no advertising around the grid.

How Sudoku is scored here

Each puzzle is generated on the server and has one solution. Easy leaves more digits filled in; hard leaves fewer. Notes are pencil marks. Check flags digits that do not match the solution. A hint fills one empty or wrong cell.

How Mahjong works here

This is the solitaire matching game, not the four-player table game. A tile is free when nothing sits on it and at least one side is open. Identical tiles match; any two flowers match, and any two seasons match. Easy is 36 tiles, medium 72, hard the classic 144-tile turtle. Hint marks a free pair. Shuffle deals the remaining tiles again. Undo takes back the last pair.
